With well
over a century of cricketing tradition the club has struggled for
years, at one time playing all matches away from home. The club
has seen something of a revival in recent times, returning to the
village and to the village pub ('The Buck' - finest Carlsberg Export in
the League), winning a Cup, finishing above half-way in the League and
competing well despite somewhat limited resources.
The League is based
on a 40-over format with no bowler restrictions, 4 points for a win, 0 for a
defeat, 3 for a tie and 2 for a 'no result'. Cup competitions are many and
varied, usually around 20 overs per
