of Place to Ginger Slapper Gloves
Chop
Gate were well represented in the batting
and bowling averages for the Langbaurgh League. Mark Lane finished in 5th
place in the batting with Neil Stockton (19th) and John Holmes (25th) also
featuring. Neil Stockton finished 6th in the bowling averages but was the
only Gate player to feature this year.
Centre-stage
though was the Grinder himself, John Holmes, who topped the wicket-keeping
charts for the first time to cap a consistent season behind the stumps.
The appearance of Mark Lane in the 'Top fielder per club' catagory is a mystery
to most.
